Asset Manager:
One of the biggest improvements in version 3.5 is the addition of the Asset Manager functions. Adding the asset manager was the next logical step in bringing full change management to the existing incident management, knowledge management, task management, and client data management functions of HC.
As with all of HC, the Asset Manager portion is designed for flexibility. Custom asset fields allow companies to store any data that is related to the unique assets used and supported in their business. Upload guides and warranty information related to that particular asset, or upload any files you like. Assets can be related to individual clients, individual agents (support or sales), individual issues (tickets or incidents), or individual tasks. You can also the customize asset category list, asset location list, and asset condition lists. In addition to the built in reporting of issues/tasks by asset, you can export asset information in a variety of ways... including the custom field information.
This is not an add-on module. The Asset Manager, like all current functionality in HC, is included with all licenses.
